I have known this man for the past 25 years. Where he has been the only man to push me beyond my limits, he’s never let me settle, he’s been there for me through the thick and the then. He’s been a vital support system for my family, whether it was emotionally and financially. He’s created a home, not just a house. He loves. He cares.
He is my father.
The best man in my life. I have shared so much with him. But, the one thing I will never be so much thankful for is his ambition. He might have given me a little dap of it. He immigrated to the United States when I was three-years-old. Not for himself, but for me and my younger brothers. He’s works his tail off. And through his hard work he has put me through college. He always told us that his American dream was seeing me walk the stage in a cap and gown. I’m so fortunate to have a dad who goes above and beyond. Who will never stop believing in me. Who will never give up on me. Who would rather walk barefoot than to have me missing something. I can’t wait to share even more memories with him (I wonder what walking down the aisle with him will be like). I love him beyond words. I celebrate him this Father’s Day weekend.
Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads. Cheers.
