Happy Saturday ya’ll. I truly apologize for not getting you this blog on Thursday like I’d hope. The good new is that Micah and I found a home and moving was on the agenda. Not having our own place to stay was a serious stress buzz, which didn’t help my nerves, but now that we’ve knocked that off our list blogging will be in full swing again. Hip hip hooray!

Today’s post is geared towards skin health. Earlier this month I turned 31 and my skin felt it more than anything else. So my recent campaign has been to get my skin back to not only look youthful, but also feeling it.

e.l.f products have always been my favorite. I started using them awhile ago with their illuminating eye cream, which has been a life changer. Now I’m sharing with you all another skin protection serum from this brand called the beauty shield.

Now I’ve only been using this serum for about a month, but the vitamin C has helped diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This formula is lightweight too. It’s also very hydrating, which is especially helpful during the harsh winter coming. I’ve heard big things about the usage of vitamin C so I had to see what that was all about. No regrets. The other ingredients are vitamin E and pomegranate. These also help boost the skin tone and helps protect the skin from environmental aggressors.

The second product is this pore clearing glitter peel-off mask. This mask is prompted to strip away impurities and dead skin, which I appreciate dearly. I also have a lot of enlarged pores around my nose so this mask targets that. One thing that I messed up on was that I applied a small amount at first, so peeling it off was hurtful. I learned that you  have to pack the product on your skin in order to remove it successfully. Once I did this there was a major improvement. The mask also helped with clogged pores, dirt, and oil. Plus, the glitter looks pretty on the skin. The ingredients include charcoal, witch hazel, and lavender.

One of the downfalls to my beauty routine is that it wasn’t important to me until later in my 20s, it seemed as if I failed my skin because it was poorly damaged from excess sun exposure and failure to moisturize. But I’m lucky that with the help of these products hope isn’t lost and I can give my skin the love it deserves. Share the love with yours as well.
