Happy middle of the week day! It’s been a day! Heck it’s been a week. There has been over 60 mph winds in Kansas, which is expected, but not desired. So we’ve been indoors most of the day. I’ve even postponed my morning run, just to give you an idea of the wind gust.
But, if that’s the only thing I have to complain about then life is good.
Today I’m sharing with you a review on this vitamin A serum from my favorite skin care line– Mad Hippie. I’ve done a review on their vitamin C serum and on the eye cream in the past, you can check out that post here.
I had no clue what Vitamin A does in terms of effects and treatment so I did a little research. The serum from this line includes HPR, which is Hydroxypinacolone retinoate, this targets wrinkles and sun damage. Over the years my skin has suffered from major sun damage due to playing soccer out in the open. From this my wrinkles have become harsh and very visible. So after 2 weeks of incorporating this product to my night time skin routine, I’ve noticed significant changes.
I apply about 2-3 drops of the serum on my skin only at night, it’s a lot more creamy than the vitamin C serum I apply in the mornings, so I can definitely see the difference in texture. What this serum does is boost my skin’s color tone. It’s more bright and even now. My makeup glows on my skin and I’m using less and less of it.
As you can see, this serum is creamy. It also contains a second ingredient, sodium hyaluronate. This is the part that works like a moisturizer. And that is pretty evident.
There is also oats in the mix that aids to soothe the skin and also hydrates in a natural way. In addition there’s aloe vera with forms a protection layer over the skin and lastly is phytoceramide. This helps retain the moisture from the sodium H and gives your skin a plump look.
All of this combined helps reduce brown spots, which trust me I have plenty.
I picked up this item at Ulta Beauty for $32.99. It’s affordable and as of right now, has worked wonders for my skin type. This is a product that I’m excited to continue using. It’s also vegan and cruelty free, which is a major plus.
If you have any questions about this product in particular or this skin line, please let me know. I love trying out new products for you all, this is one of them. I’m here if you need help. Have a great rest of your week. I’ll see you on Friday!
