Deep down, I’m a sucker for some rock-n-roll. I’m a huge fan of Def Leppard and last year I got to see them live, which was amazing. From time-to-time I wear this shirt to remind me of their music and the killer concert I attended.

In October, the band Kansas will be in town, and you bet I’ll be attending. Until then I’ve got this shirt to give me the feels. Something else is the mules I bought last week. Yes, I’m still wearing them. I’ve been wearing them way to much lately, but there are no complaints. I’m simply just enjoying them.

Tomorrow, Micah and I are going to our town’s firework display. That’s about the extent of our celebration. I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on what I’ll be wearing. Until then, have a happy Monday and an even safer 4th of July! As always.

Long and Plaid

I can be into plaid shirts living out in the country, so naturally when I saw this long and plaid shirt from Forever 21, I had to snag it. I enjoy every aspect of this shirt because it can be worn so many different ways. From a unique aspect, I believe that the length helps separate it from the traditional plaid shirts. In addition the color gives off more of a rock in roll vibe versus a country take.

Aside from that, a tiny victory is my hair length. I’ve changed my hair routine and since then I’ve seen some minor results. I’m pleased with it. I’ll share the secret soon.

Micah and I are going to the pool tomorrow and I’ll be sharing what I wore to the water park tomorrow on the blog. Stay tune. As always.

For the run

I’m sorry I’m posting uber late, but today I was literally running, and not to stay fit. In town today, there were like 5 grass fire that forced the south side of town to have to evacuate. It even reached my neighborhood and we were forced to leave the area for a little bit. I got home from work in my all black outfit just to pair it with my on the go Nike’s. I literally had to run from one side of town to the other.

The wind was blowing a little worse than yesterday, so I’m guessing it was hard for firefighters to stop the fires. It was also a little chilly so the black outfit really helped keep me warm.

Tomorrow when it’s not so hectic, I’ll share with you all the heels I was wearing, because they are new. For right now, I’m checking out because I’m a wee bit tired.

Green bottoms

Okay back to posting about clothes and fashion.

I’m sure you have seen the top part of these next photo on my IG and I’ve been meaning to post the full outfit deers, it just hasn’t happened for some reason or another.

So two obvious things I’m loving about this outfit is the bottom portion which includes the heels and the pants. I’ve wanting/searching for heels with a thick heel and green jeans. When I found the two, I had to pair them together, because I succeed in finding them.

Jump for joy. Stay warm my friends, it’s pretty chilly in Kansas.

Outfit: sweater was a gift, bottoms from Pac Sun, and heels from Shoedazzle.

Sweater weather

So far (luckily) we have had pretty nice weather. I mean it isn’t nice or toasty by any means, but I’ve gone jacket-less. Let me knock on wood.

My Sunday and Monday were spent at the mall, Christmas shopping for everyone, even me. I picked up a lot of nice items that I can’t wait to share with you all. Today, I’m proud to showcase my new sweater, denim, and boots.

First let’s talk about the sweater. It’s burgundy. There.

Second, the boots, are Steve Madden. I did a lot of research trying to find the perfect pair to replace my old boots, you all probably grew tired of, but these babies caught my eye. And it was love. I wanted so desperately for a pair that had laces, but I guess that obsession went out the window. So here’s to the new boots you all will grow weary of. Enjoy.

Jacket time

It’s definitely winter “y” here. But I’m also stuck in between dressing warm in the morning and taking a layer off in the afternoon. It’s quite complicated. One thing I do know for certain is that it is officially jacket time in Kansas.

The first jacket I took out of hibernation was my black leather jacket, which has a bonus feature, a hoodie. Hip hip, hooray! You’ll be seeing more of it on here. So don’t tire.

Purple Pop

My mom has always gotten at me for dressing in black. Honestly, I don’t remember the exact moment, in which, I started wearing black hues because my favorite color is purple.

So in order to please my mom and myself, I bought this dress. It technically doesn’t solve the black obsession, but then again that’s why it’s an obsession.

*On another note, the weather was super crazy today. The wind speed was probably 100 mph.

Dodge Desert

It’s only Tuesday. Tuesday! It already feel like such a long week. I suppose it’s because there is so much to do and with so little time, the feeling drowns me. On the flip side. There’s still that nice warmth to the sun’s rays.

I’ll take that over any ole’ week.

Rough around the fringes

Remember that slow transition from summer to fall to eventually winter… this jacket says it all.

I immediately fell in love with it because I knew it would make a good companion to other staples in my closet. I also, immediately fell in love with it– considering it was the last lonely girl left on the rack. Fearing leaving it to suffer in the cold hanger, I took her home with me. She makes her first appearance here. Let me tell you it won’t be the last time.
