The moment I saw this pretty sweater from Maurices my heart melted. Still on the hanger, I imagined the endless outfits this sweater could bring. With that said, this cut-out love was going in my closet. So for the first time, I paired it with this red skort from Forever 21. I’ve haven’t worn these bottoms as often as I’d like, so when browsing for what would look great with the sweater, I instantly knew these two would compliment each other perfectly. And they do! I’m always thrilled when I see the shades of pink and red mixed together. I quiet enjoy how these colors feed off of each other in such a way that love is transmitted in my soul. Oh to love…
Also on the blog are these heels again. They are new and they are on repeat.
In less than three days, Micah and I will be traveling to Yucatan, Mexico for a wonderful mission trip. I’ll have limited internet access, but I’ll be posting as often as I can. Until then, I’ll be sharing what I’m packing, and how I’m preparing to serve the Lord. As always.
I can be into plaid shirts living out in the country, so naturally when I saw this long and plaid shirt from Forever 21, I had to snag it. I enjoy every aspect of this shirt because it can be worn so many different ways. From a unique aspect, I believe that the length helps separate it from the traditional plaid shirts. In addition the color gives off more of a rock in roll vibe versus a country take.
Aside from that, a tiny victory is my hair length. I’ve changed my hair routine and since then I’ve seen some minor results. I’m pleased with it. I’ll share the secret soon.
Micah and I are going to the pool tomorrow and I’ll be sharing what I wore to the water park tomorrow on the blog. Stay tune. As always.
Today wasn’t a good day, weather wise. It was cool and windy. On top of that, there was just so much to do. I spent the majority of the day running up and down trying to get tiny tasks done. It was a bit frustrating that small items couldn’t be completed in a timely manner. It seems like during windy times frustration lurks around.
To help easy my frustration, I wore my hair in a ponytail. The top is an outlet find from Express. It’s new. Another new item are these heels I bought for a wedding I attended last weekend. They are from JCPenny’s. I have a feeling like these heels will be my go-to.
This weekend I’m taking a trip to Wichita to see my friend, it’s long overdue. Be sure to follow me on IG for videos and photo uploads. If not I’ll see you on Monday, as always.
Since I posted about my previous jumpsuit find, I’ve been spotting various and wonderful jumpsuits all around. I found this one last week at TJMAXX. Yes, I bought more than my fair share of good pieces while there.
Can you blame me for getting this piece? I mean look at it, it’s perfect for summer, it’s the right length, it’s cool, and it actually fits me. Items like these are hard to find. I mainly fell in love with the airy feel of the colors and floral pattern. In addition the pantsuit makes it easy to run free. Gosh what a find. The price my friends only a mere $19.99! You can’t beat that.
From time to time I enjoy following current trends. Other times I’m okay shopping the sales rack and falling behind fashion must haves for the simple pleasure of being comfortable. However when I saw this gingham top at TJMAXX I simply couldn’t walk away from it. It screams every fashion trend currently being followed. It’s off the shoulder, it’s the “it” pattern, and it’s flowy. Perfect for summer.
The black and white pattern was paired with my favorite pair of black jeans from Forever 21 and this lovely necklace was worn as a good stand out color. Of course it had to be red.
As I struggle to find motivation this summer, I’ve realized that instead of making all these plans (that aren’t going to be accomplished), I’m going to take each day as it comes. This weekend I spent the majority of the time shopping with my mom and helping my dad around the house. It wasn’t planned, but man did it feel good to actually do something with my life. I crave summer break every March, but then at the end of June I can’t wait for August and school to be in full swing. It’s that time my friends.
The wind is probably blowing at 40 mph, no joke. It’s so insane we are under a Red Flag warning. But, I found this little corner to take these pictures because I needed to share with you all my romper and of course these killer heels.
I haven’t been able to do a lot of running lately, but heels always make a girls’ legs, pop out. I love these heels so much, I bought them a long time ago from Lulus. I enjoy the color pop and how great they stand out against this romper. I can’t wait for even warmer weather so that I can sport them more often.
I hope you enjoy this post until I see you again, on Monday. Have a great one. As always.
This just in! Shoes. The cure to my problems. I recently check out shoedazzle.com and came across many, many, many, shoes I’d love to own. My collection began with these three. I’m so excited to wear them. I’ve needed the red pair. But, the other two girly-edgy are what I’m beyond jumping up and down for. I’m in love.
Do you remember when I posted my black shoe obsession from early in the month (click here)? Well I finally got a couple of heels/shoes. This is one of my favorites. Mainly because of the bow in the front. This heel is perfect for a causal day running about and for the office use. I can’t decide when I will wear these. Any ideas?
That wedding I talked about once, well it was this weekend. And I had fun getting to see my old childhood friend. But, what made this wedding weekend extra fun was this dress. Texas was over 100 degrees– talk about unbearable, but this dress made me feel comfy. It was the perfect length, the perfect material, and the perfect cut. Also, in case you all didn’t notice, the dress was pretty plain. I didn’t want to over accessorize, but I wanted to make a statement. So I paired the dress in black heels and belt. The touch of color was the simple bracelete. My new favorite item.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
