The sun is out and that mean shorts!
Now, I’m not big on shorts because at times I get a little insecure about my bottom. I can’t seem to find the right pair of shorts that makes me feel modest and sexy at the same time. If that’s even allowed. It’s hard people.
Many say I should be proud of my legs and butt, however I don’t see why it’s so great when I can’t find proper fitting bottoms. Anyway, I did run across these from Target. I like these shorts because they are the stretchy side and it helps– majorly.
Excuse the uneven tan lines and enjoy my top. It’s from H&M. As of lately I’ve been in between Zara and H&M. You’ve heard me talk about Zara for far too long that now I’ve decided to switch it around. To give everyone a break. So this top is one of my favorites because it’s short and the color (the splash of pink) is just my right type of shade. I’m usually not into the color pink so this one is great because it doesn’t wash out my skin tone. Plus check out the accent on the sleeves and bottom.
I’m also showing off this bracelet that my friend from San Fran gifted me with as a “see ya” soon parting. It’s totally her style. The dream catcher gives me hope that I’ll see her again.
Enjoy the heat if you’ve got it. As always.
On Thursday, I got my wisdom teeth pulled. All four. It was a major ordeal. One I wasn’t quiet prepared for as I am now literally starving and in pain. I have never felt miserable, except for that one time where I lost my three front teeth in high school and my then boyfriend dumped me. Oh well, things could be a lot worse.
Naturally I have felt ugly for the past four days. Blame it on starvation. So today, I tried to pretty myself, you know to lift moral and it worked. I completely forgot what it was like to take care of yourself. Literally.
I wore these trousers from H&M that I’ve had for awhile and worn to school multiple times, because they are that comfortable. Since it’s been warm and windy I opted for wearing a ponytail and a cool silver top I found at TJMAXX. Both great wears for a not so comfortable life situation.
Here’s to feeling better, as always
I’ve about had it with wearing a coat or sweater. I’m full of it! But I’ll have to be patient since February and parts of March will still be cold. Yay. Eye roll.
I got out of work early today because there was a major water line break at the school so students were dismissed at 11:05 a.m., they were thrilled of course. So was I, but not as much as the students since there is so much to do.
After the dismissal, I jetted home to change into something much more comfortable in order to run some much needed errands. I had a bunch of things piled up that need some attention. For this, I wore my olive green jeans, a simple white tee, blocked heels, and my new coat. The coat was a Christmas gift from my parents. I had been dying for a coat that was longer than mid-length. After months of searching, we found the perfect one at Dillards.
School will resume back up tomorrow and I’m excited to see the look at my student’s face back in the classroom.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a wimp when it comes to sustaining my ground in the cold. Even in the summer time I find the air conditioner uncomfortable. However it seems that the further we make it into December, the colder it’s getting. Today, was no exception. So for the first time this since fall, I actually wore tights, and it felt nice–rough–but nice.
I’m a huge fan of letting the legs bare free and the toes roam so you can imagine how much I’m loving these tights.
When’s spring again?

Just because I’ve been gone for 10 months doesn’t mean I haven’t been out shopping. I feel that the older I get; the harder it is for me to find pieces that are worth while. So shopping has become more of a sport. It’s taken hard work and a lot of dedication. It’s even harder because I constantly think that the pieces I buy have to fit both of my “worlds” –teacher life and everyday life–
(Sometimes both lives connect and often times I keep them separate.)
Behold the brief case turned bag-pack and the long tailored dress. Both of these pieces have served me well for both lives. Items like these have become so important to me, for example, the bag-pack is made especially for the “go.” It frees up my hands from having to carry my phone, the homework I have to grade, and my lunch.
The dress has helped me look stylish during church, wedding events, for dinners out with the boyfriend, and also for keeping me classy at school.
I’ll be sharing pieces like these more often.
Help a girl out by commenting and liking this post. It’s appreciated.

Burr, burr, burr. We are still in the cold zone. I wish it was gone. So I’ve stayed inside. But, I’ve had some to think about some things I’d love to see in my closet. I have way too much black, well dark colors, so I thought. Light and soft is probably a good change. So here’s to pink. Oh and there still some black in there.
I love lace, jewels, and flamingos. Yay, I’ll keep you posted on any new pink finds soon. Praying for warm weather. So I can show you all what I wear. Until then. Keep warm.
