Soccer season as come to an end and summer is right around the corner. All of this can only mean one thing, down time. This is a good thing. I want to focus a little bit more on my blog and I’m also excited to be able to journal what’s been happening lately.
So this shoot was from what seems like ages ago, but it was taken when it appeared spring was coming, of course in Kansas one can never be too sure. It was a windy day, but honestly for the first time the sun was warm. I usually like days like that.
Not being prepared, with my sense of weather, I wore this green top I often wear to work. I like it because you can tie it around the neck. It just gives off a work-place vibe. The jeans are sort of my favorite textured bottoms. Trust me, I’m not as adventurous when it comes to my bottoms, but when I saw these jeans, with tiny flowers I had to get them. They are from Target. I really enjoy the way the fit and also the way they absolutely change my outfits.
You might also notice my heel-sandals. I got this pair in nude because I plan on wearing them with everything! So far they’ve been so versatile I can hardly stop myself from jumping up and down. Note, they will be on here a lot! Stay tune.
This is my last post from my past Zara purchase. This top. Let’s marvel at it. It’s so pretty, delicate, and chic. Aside from wearing black and purple, green is my favorite color to sport. I was thrilled when I came about this top because that splash of color. The design of the top is impressive and unique. It screams old Spanish. Because the top was so delicate I decided to give it a street vibe by pairing it with jeans and black stilettos.
Again, I’ll be wearing it on the regular, especially towards the summer weather.
I can’t believe that in 3 weeks, the start of the last quarter of school will begin, and summer is right around the corner. Yikes.
For now, I’m going to enjoy these unexpected warmer days.
Today I wore this plaid shirt. At first glance it doesn’t seem that special, specific, darling, eye-opening, but it’s comfortable, versatile, gentle, and homey.
Those are the pieces that I love the most. The ones I can wear time-and-time again. I’d love to say that my closet is full of mystery- fashion-forward pieces, but I’m just a regular Kansas girl showcasing what I’ve got to work with and that my friends is a plain.
An occasionally some fitted jeans and flats.
It’s a triple-threat you can’t ignore.
What’s your most comfortable piece of clothing? As always.
I’ve about had it with wearing a coat or sweater. I’m full of it! But I’ll have to be patient since February and parts of March will still be cold. Yay. Eye roll.
I got out of work early today because there was a major water line break at the school so students were dismissed at 11:05 a.m., they were thrilled of course. So was I, but not as much as the students since there is so much to do.
After the dismissal, I jetted home to change into something much more comfortable in order to run some much needed errands. I had a bunch of things piled up that need some attention. For this, I wore my olive green jeans, a simple white tee, blocked heels, and my new coat. The coat was a Christmas gift from my parents. I had been dying for a coat that was longer than mid-length. After months of searching, we found the perfect one at Dillards.
School will resume back up tomorrow and I’m excited to see the look at my student’s face back in the classroom.
