Deep down, I’m a sucker for some rock-n-roll. I’m a huge fan of Def Leppard and last year I got to see them live, which was amazing. From time-to-time I wear this shirt to remind me of their music and the killer concert I attended.
In October, the band Kansas will be in town, and you bet I’ll be attending. Until then I’ve got this shirt to give me the feels. Something else is the mules I bought last week. Yes, I’m still wearing them. I’ve been wearing them way to much lately, but there are no complaints. I’m simply just enjoying them.
Tomorrow, Micah and I are going to our town’s firework display. That’s about the extent of our celebration. I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on what I’ll be wearing. Until then, have a happy Monday and an even safer 4th of July! As always.
This week I was in San Francisco visiting my best friend. I had the best time of my life. I did a lot of tourist type things because I just needed to be that person. I might mention that this was my first trip out to the west coast. What can I say, I’m just a sheltered small town girl. I’m exploring so bear with me.
While I’m excited to share everything that I saw, ate, and wore while I was in San Fran; right now I want to take a moment and appreciate just how much I missed Kansas. It was a lot!
It’s strange to think anyone would honestly miss the open range where there’s nothing to do but watch cattle out in the pasture. But, I missed that! I missed the quiet. The non-traffic filled streets. The stars that blanket over the wheat fields at night. The home-sweet-home vibe.
Don’t get me wrong, the city is amazing simply because it’s filled with good food and shopping areas. Visiting a place like San Francisco is great simply because I know I’m just visiting.
Because I was nostalgic for Kansas and the “Wild West,” I decided to post an outfit I was unable to post from last week. I wore this sexy (my idea of sexy is …) and edgy skirt with leather boots after school one evening. It was windier that heck. I really love showing of my legs and I haven’t been able to because the weather never seems to cooperate. It was still pretty chilly last week too, so the red sweater gives this outfit a splash of color and makes for a cool accent.
I’m currently sitting at the airport in Denver on a two hour layover. It’s perfect because I have some time to upload my photos (I took many) and get organized so that I can start sharing with you all my adventure in California.
I decided to take a little risk and try something a little different. I’m sure you’ve seen this skirt on here before, but at the moment I want you to focus on my new top from Hollister. I love the collar-jewel effect. I love the color. I love it all.
And since the wash was light, I paired the top with this bright skirt and simple heels.
I had to hurry and snap the pictures because it was about to storm. The clouds looked amazing and smell of rain was divine.
Outfit: top from Hollister, skirt from Forever21, and shoes from Lulus
The weather has been super amazing, we are expecting harsher weather towards the end of the week, so I’ve managed to continue to wear the sock-tight combo. The end of the year is fast approaching and I’m getting more than excited for shopping. I’ve shopped so much already, for example, check out my nude booties. Aren’t they amazing? I got them from shoedazzle.com.
And did you notice my hair is longer than ever. I can finally pull it up in a bun. So excited.
Happy Tuesday 🙂

There are a several things I’m loving right now; making them my favorite. First of all, and as you can see, we have a new puppy. Her name is Chole and she is adorable. We have been hanging out with her almost all day and all night. Tonight, no doubt she had to make an appearance. Aside from that, I’m loving the weather, my job, and of course the items you see today. The first is this hot pink skirt. To add to this, the “A” ear-ring, my rings, and the lacy socks. Life at the moment is beyond calm- the perfect opportunity to be thankful.
What I wore: skirt, sweater, jewelry and, lacy socks from Forever21 and flats from Charlotte Russe.
Lately I’ve purchased skirts (long ones) to change up my look. I fell in love with this one because it’s very comfy. I particularly love the color, because it adds splash to a lot of my darker clothes (which I have a bunch of). I seems a lot cooler out, lately, but somehow it’s so refreshing that I don’t pay mind to the breeze. I think pieces like this allow everyone living in the weird Kansas weather to be comfortable, without having to wear a coat or sweater.
(What I wore: skirt, target; sandals and necklace, Forever 21; and top from the Buckle)
