From time to time I enjoy following current trends. Other times I’m okay shopping the sales rack and falling behind fashion must haves for the simple pleasure of being comfortable. However when I saw this gingham top at TJMAXX I simply couldn’t walk away from it. It screams every fashion trend currently being followed. It’s off the shoulder, it’s the “it” pattern, and it’s flowy. Perfect for summer.
The black and white pattern was paired with my favorite pair of black jeans from Forever 21 and this lovely necklace was worn as a good stand out color. Of course it had to be red.
As I struggle to find motivation this summer, I’ve realized that instead of making all these plans (that aren’t going to be accomplished), I’m going to take each day as it comes. This weekend I spent the majority of the time shopping with my mom and helping my dad around the house. It wasn’t planned, but man did it feel good to actually do something with my life. I crave summer break every March, but then at the end of June I can’t wait for August and school to be in full swing. It’s that time my friends.
Until then and as always.
On this windy and hot day I present you this lovely Zara top.
There is so much perfection coming from this top, from the detail in the sleeves to the wonderful embroidery that’s tiny and precise. In addition to everything nice about this top, I absolutely love that’s it’s completely versatile. Today I paired it with black shorts I purchased at Target, but I’m also thinking you’ll see it on here in different ways. Stay tune.
I also love these sandals I purchased from Shoe Dazzle awhile ago. They are the perfect blend of cool and summer. As always.
Yesterday it literally rained cats and dogs. We’ve been pretty blessed this year with the amount of rain Kansas has received. So there’s nothing to complain about.
My day was spent shopping at Target and TJMAXX. I’m excited to show you all some of the things I’ve picked up. I’m also going to try to be more creative with IG and possibly post a haul on my findings.
In the meantime I’m excited to blog about this top I picked up from Loft. I’ve been shopping there lately because I’m absolutely in love with their petite section. It’s amazing and figure forming. I mainly shop here for my teacher wardrobe, but I enjoy a top that is perfect for a Friday afternoon stroll.
Micah and I are heading to his buddy’s wedding up state. It’s gonna be a great weekend road trip con mi vida. Wishing you the best. See you Monday. As always.
The sun is out and that mean shorts!
Now, I’m not big on shorts because at times I get a little insecure about my bottom. I can’t seem to find the right pair of shorts that makes me feel modest and sexy at the same time. If that’s even allowed. It’s hard people.
Many say I should be proud of my legs and butt, however I don’t see why it’s so great when I can’t find proper fitting bottoms. Anyway, I did run across these from Target. I like these shorts because they are the stretchy side and it helps– majorly.
Excuse the uneven tan lines and enjoy my top. It’s from H&M. As of lately I’ve been in between Zara and H&M. You’ve heard me talk about Zara for far too long that now I’ve decided to switch it around. To give everyone a break. So this top is one of my favorites because it’s short and the color (the splash of pink) is just my right type of shade. I’m usually not into the color pink so this one is great because it doesn’t wash out my skin tone. Plus check out the accent on the sleeves and bottom.
I’m also showing off this bracelet that my friend from San Fran gifted me with as a “see ya” soon parting. It’s totally her style. The dream catcher gives me hope that I’ll see her again.
Enjoy the heat if you’ve got it. As always.
My brother graduated from Newman University this past weekend. I was thrilled to see my parents have both a twinkle in their eyes and prideful smiles. For them, Javier graduating marks three-out-of-three children, all done with college. They can unbutton their jeans. Ha! It was a happy time. It was a warm time.
Spring or warmer weather is finally here, which thrills me even more. This is giving me an excuse to wear this romper from Target. The fabric is soft and relaxed for a comfortable wear. I enjoyed wearing it because I could finally let the legs roam the Earth. Currently they need all the sun exposure they can get. Ignore the terrible tan lines. I’ll fix them up.
T-minus 7 days until school is officially over! There will more blogging to come. Hang tight.
P.S. The boyfriend took these pictures. I’m so thankful he was willing. As always.
Soccer season as come to an end and summer is right around the corner. All of this can only mean one thing, down time. This is a good thing. I want to focus a little bit more on my blog and I’m also excited to be able to journal what’s been happening lately.
So this shoot was from what seems like ages ago, but it was taken when it appeared spring was coming, of course in Kansas one can never be too sure. It was a windy day, but honestly for the first time the sun was warm. I usually like days like that.
Not being prepared, with my sense of weather, I wore this green top I often wear to work. I like it because you can tie it around the neck. It just gives off a work-place vibe. The jeans are sort of my favorite textured bottoms. Trust me, I’m not as adventurous when it comes to my bottoms, but when I saw these jeans, with tiny flowers I had to get them. They are from Target. I really enjoy the way the fit and also the way they absolutely change my outfits.
You might also notice my heel-sandals. I got this pair in nude because I plan on wearing them with everything! So far they’ve been so versatile I can hardly stop myself from jumping up and down. Note, they will be on here a lot! Stay tune.
In the mist of being in the whirlwind of what is my busy life; I’ve caught a break. By this I mean I’ve got 30 minutes to upload this post.
This outfit is from what seems like months ago, during a time when Dodge City knew a thing or two about the wind. From time to time it gets to blowin’ here and whether I like it or not, I have to deal with it.
Regardless if the wind blows or not, that doesn’t stop me from wearing dresses and catching major air. This dress is from Prabal Gurung from his collaboration with Target. I was lucky enough to snag this item because almost immediately his line was sold out. His stuff was great and I have enjoyed wearing this dress time and time again.
That’s why it’s on repeat. Enjoy. I’ve gotta go. I’ll be back soon. As always.
