Today wasn’t a good day, weather wise. It was cool and windy. On top of that, there was just so much to do. I spent the majority of the day running up and down trying to get tiny tasks done. It was a bit frustrating that small items couldn’t be completed in a timely manner. It seems like during windy times frustration lurks around.
To help easy my frustration, I wore my hair in a ponytail. The top is an outlet find from Express. It’s new. Another new item are these heels I bought for a wedding I attended last weekend. They are from JCPenny’s. I have a feeling like these heels will be my go-to.
This weekend I’m taking a trip to Wichita to see my friend, it’s long overdue. Be sure to follow me on IG for videos and photo uploads. If not I’ll see you on Monday, as always.
Although it’s the weekend, sadly I’m reporting that I’ll be Micahless until Monday. He’s off to visit his family in central Kansas. While he’s gone, I’d hope to accomplish a billion things, but nope. I’ve done absolutely nothing. It’s what I do best.
I have been beating the heat in these shorts and detailed top that was a gift from my mom. Some days are better than others in this heat. Today it’s been close to 100 degrees. Yesterday was still windy. Summer in Kansas is unpredictable as most weather conditions are here. As of right how it’s clear skies, sun, and dry heat.
While Micah is out fishing with his family, I’m inside enjoying the cool AC. I’ll see you back on Monday. I’m sending you weekend vibes. As always.
My brother graduated from Newman University this past weekend. I was thrilled to see my parents have both a twinkle in their eyes and prideful smiles. For them, Javier graduating marks three-out-of-three children, all done with college. They can unbutton their jeans. Ha! It was a happy time. It was a warm time.
Spring or warmer weather is finally here, which thrills me even more. This is giving me an excuse to wear this romper from Target. The fabric is soft and relaxed for a comfortable wear. I enjoyed wearing it because I could finally let the legs roam the Earth. Currently they need all the sun exposure they can get. Ignore the terrible tan lines. I’ll fix them up.
T-minus 7 days until school is officially over! There will more blogging to come. Hang tight.
P.S. The boyfriend took these pictures. I’m so thankful he was willing. As always.
It’s definitely winter “y” here. But I’m also stuck in between dressing warm in the morning and taking a layer off in the afternoon. It’s quite complicated. One thing I do know for certain is that it is officially jacket time in Kansas.
The first jacket I took out of hibernation was my black leather jacket, which has a bonus feature, a hoodie. Hip hip, hooray! You’ll be seeing more of it on here. So don’t tire.
Yay and more yay! We finally have some sunshine. It’s divine. I already feel my skin darkening. Okay, well not too much, at this point. But, I’m certainly looking forward to it. And to protect myself from the sunny rays, I’m wearing this old hat, I stole from my brother. Since then, the hat has been through quiet a journey. Hence the rusty part. And to add to that, I paired the hat with my new leather skirt and black wedges. To make it an all cool/dark look.
Outfit: hat from American Eagle, chambray shirt from Love Culture, skirt and jewelry from Forever21, purse from JustFab, and wedges from PacSun.
Happy Hump Day!
